Enterprise Cloud-Native VMS (VSaaS) — Scalable Enterprise Video Surveillance
Okiff Reflex VSaaS is a cloud-native video surveillance platform that brings real-time AI detection and centralized management to multi-site operations — with no dedicated server required at each location. Deploy across hundreds of sites. Manage from one dashboard.
What is VSaaS (Video Surveillance as a Service)?
VSaaS (Video Surveillance as a Service) is a cloud-based video management model in which cameras transmit streams to managed cloud infrastructure for processing, storage, and AI analysis — eliminating the need for dedicated on-site recording servers.
Okiff Reflex VSaaS extends this model with a critical distinction: Distributed Intelligence. The Reflex Router Agent, deployed at each site, handles protocol unification, stream optimization, and intelligent pre-processing locally. This ensures your camera data travels efficiently, allowing our Kubernetes-native cloud engine to perform deep multimodal AI inference without the latency and bandwidth issues of legacy cloud systems.
The result: the managed simplicity of cloud delivery, without sacrificing AI response speed or data governance.
Built for operators managing surveillance at scale
MSPs & Security Integrators
You manage video surveillance for 20, 50, or 200 client sites. Reflex VSaaS gives you a single platform to deploy, monitor, and support all of them — under your brand, with OEM white-labelling available. No per-site server = no per-site maintenance contract.
Multi-Site Enterprise Operators
Retail chains, logistics hubs, corporate campuses — sites that need consistent surveillance policy without a dedicated IT team at each location. Reflex VSaaS standardises your security posture centrally while footage and alerts remain governed by your own data policies.
PropTech & Real Estate Groups
Building operators managing residential or commercial portfolios need unified visibility without complex on-site infrastructure per property. Reflex VSaaS delivers per-building AI detection with centralised reporting — integrated with access control and smart building systems.
How Okiff Reflex VSaaS works
Step 1 — Cameras (any brand, any protocol): Okiff Reflex connects to all RTSP and ONVIF IP cameras. Automatic camera discovery eliminates manual configuration. Your existing camera investment is fully preserved.
Step 2 — Reflex Router Agent: A lightweight software agent deployed at each site handles protocol interfacing, stream aggregation, and pre-processing. It unifies all camera feeds — including legacy H.264 and modern H.265/AV1 streams — into a single optimised uplink to the cloud layer. No NVR hardware required. Zero physical infrastructure change at the camera level.
Step 3 — Cloud Processing Layer: The Okiff Reflex cloud layer runs on Kubernetes-native infrastructure. It handles AI inference (all detection models), event rules evaluation, tiered storage (S3-compatible), and multi-tenant access control. Deployed in a data centre region aligned to your data residency requirements.
Step 4 — Unified Dashboard: Security teams and operators access all sites from a single web-based dashboard — live streams, recorded footage, AI alerts, event history, and evidence export. RBAC ensures each user sees only what they're authorised to see. Push notifications deliver real-time alerts to operators on any device.
What Reflex VSaaS delivers
Elastic Scalability
Add a new site in minutes — no hardware procurement cycle. Scales from 5 to 500,000+ cameras on the same subscription.
Automatic OTA Updates
Platform updates, AI model improvements, and security patches deploy automatically to all sites. Zero manual maintenance.
Tiered Cloud Storage
Flexible retention policies per site or per camera. S3-compatible object storage with configurable lifecycle rules.
Multi-Tenant Architecture
Purpose-built for MSPs. Manage multiple client accounts from one portal with strict tenant isolation.
Global Access
Access any site from any device, any location, through the encrypted web dashboard — with push notifications for critical events.
OEM White-Label
Deploy Reflex VSaaS under your own brand. Configure your own portal identity for client-facing access.
Real-time AI detection, cloud-assisted.
Body (concise — link to full AI Analytics page): All Okiff Reflex AI detection models are available in the VSaaS configuration. The Reflex Router Agent enables local pre-processing so that high-confidence events are flagged before they reach the cloud layer — reducing bandwidth consumption and improving response speed for critical detections.
Fire & Smoke
Early detection of fire and smoke for instant alerts.
Violence
Identification of physical altercations and aggressive movements.
Theft
Alert in case of unauthorized removal of items or equipment.
Smart Zone Monitoring
Falls
Licence Plate Recognition (ANPR)
Facial Recognition
Detection and identification of faces for access control or investigation.
Multi-Camera Tracking (MTMC)
Tracking of a person or object moving between different cameras.
Behavioural & Intent Analysis

Challenge: Consistent loss prevention policy across 50 stores, with no dedicated IT staff per site.
Solution: Okiff Reflex VSaaS with Theft Detection and Smart Zone monitoring. Centrally managed rules engine, per-store dashboards for local managers, executive summary view for the security director.
Use Case 2 —
MSP / Integrator:
Challenge: Offer a recurring-revenue surveillance service to 30 SME clients without deploying on-site servers or maintaining separate platforms per client.
Solution: Okiff Reflex VSaaS multi-tenant portal. One portal, 30 tenant accounts, one support queue.
Use Case 3 —
Commercial Real Estate:
Challenge: Unified surveillance and access event visibility across a portfolio of office buildings, with tenant-level access boundaries.
Solution: Okiff Reflex VSaaS with RBAC per building and per tenant. AI alerts for after-hours entry detection, fall detection in common areas, and parking ANPR.
FAQ
Does VSaaS mean my camera footage is stored on a public cloud?
Not necessarily. Okiff Reflex VSaaS supports configurable data residency, allowing footage to be stored in a cloud region aligned with your regulatory requirements. GDPR-aligned storage options are available. You can also configure tiered storage to retain certain footage categories on-site.
What happens if the internet connection at a site goes down?
The Okiff Reflex Router Agent continues to buffer footage locally during connectivity interruptions. When the connection is restored, footage is synchronized to the cloud layer. Critical AI detection (fire, violence) can also trigger local alerts even without cloud connectivity.
Is VSaaS appropriate for regulated industries?
Yes, with the right configuration. For industries with strict data sovereignty requirements (government, defence, healthcare), the on-premise or hybrid deployment model may be more appropriate. For regulated but non-classified environments (retail, real estate, education), VSaaS with compliant data residency settings is fully applicable.
How long does it take to deploy Reflex VSaaS at a new site?
Deploying Reflex VSaaS at a new site typically takes hours, not days. The Reflex Router Agent is configured remotely. Camera auto-discovery identifies connected cameras. No hardware procurement or on-site server setup is required.
Can we brand the VSaaS portal for our clients?
In its standard cloud-hosted VSaaS model, Okiff manages the hosting. However, OEM white-labeling is fully supported if you choose to transition the solution to an On-Premise deployment infrastructure.
